IT Support Technician – Romford
Location: Romford
Salary: £28,000–£35,000 per annum
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to join a busy school in Romford from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues and supporting staff and students with their day-to-day technology needs.
The Role:
- Providing first-line IT support to staff and students
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues
- Installing, maintaining and supporting IT equipment
- Managing user accounts and access permissions
- Supporting the school’s IT systems and infrastructure
- Liaising with external IT providers where necessary
- Ensuring technical issues are logged and resolved efficiently
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience in an IT support or technical role
- Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Is confident supporting users with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Has good knowledge of computer hardware, software and networks
- Is organised, reliable and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
Previous experience working within a school or education setting would be beneficial, although candidates with relevant IT support experience are encouraged to apply.
