Foundation Stage / Reception Teacher – Leigh-on-Sea
Location: Leigh-on-Sea
Salary: £150–£220 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking a passionate and nurturing Foundation Stage / Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Leigh-on-Sea from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to support young children during the important first stage of their educational journey. The successful candidate will create a stimulating, engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to learn, develop and thrive.
The Role:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities for Reception pupils
- Supporting children’s development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring and assessing children’s progress
- Supporting children’s social, emotional and academic development
- Working closely with teaching assistants, parents and colleagues
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching within an Early Years or primary setting
- Has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Is nurturing, patient and passionate about working with young children
- Can create engaging learning experiences through play and structured activities
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
