Pastoral Support Worker – Elm Park
Location: Elm Park
Salary: £25,000–£32,000 per annum
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join a supportive school in Elm Park from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing, personal development and emotional needs of children and young people.
The Role:
- Providing pastoral support to pupils across the school
- Building positive and trusting relationships with students
- Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development
- Helping students overcome barriers to learning and engagement
- Working closely with teachers, safeguarding leads and pastoral teams
- Supporting pupils experiencing personal, emotional or behavioural challenges
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children or young people
- Is compassionate, patient and approachable
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is confident supporting pupils with a range of emotional and behavioural needs
- Can remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Is passionate about helping young people reach their potential
Previous experience in a school, youth work, mentoring, care or similar setting would be beneficial, although candidates with relevant transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
