SEN Teaching Assistant – West Horndon

We Educate is currently recruiting dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to work within mainstream primary schools across West Horndon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and wants to make a real difference in the classroom every day. You’ll be helping pupils build confidence, develop key skills and access learning in a positive and supportive environment.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support for pupils throughout the school day. This may involve working one-to-one with individual pupils, supporting small group interventions, or assisting within whole-class activities.
Every day brings something different, making this a varied and rewarding role.
Pay: £92 – £115 per day
Your Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging classroom activities.
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence and participation.
- Support academic, social and emotional development.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for patient, enthusiastic and reliable individuals who enjoy working with children.
The following qualifications or experience would be beneficial:
- Teaching Assistant qualifications
- Health & Social Care
- Early Years (EYFS)
- Childcare
- Education, Psychology or related degrees
Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
