About the Role
We Educate is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants in Thurrock to support children across a range of primary schools and SEN schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and make a real difference in their learning journey.
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1, in small groups, or across classrooms to help pupils engage with lessons, develop life skills, and build confidence. Whether you have prior classroom experience or are just starting out in education, we offer full training and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with SEN in academic, social, and personal development
- Work alongside teachers to deliver inclusive learning experiences
- Provide targeted 1:1 or small group interventions
- Promote independence and positive behaviour
- Contribute to a welcoming and supportive classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting education
- Patient, empathetic, and committed approach
- Previous experience with children is desirable but not required
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Education qualifications are beneficial but not essential
- A willingness to learn and undertake professional development
