About the Role
We Educate is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants in Grays to support children across a range of primary schools and SEN schools in Thurrock. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in different school settings, providing vital support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide support on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or across whole classes. You’ll help pupils engage with learning, develop their confidence, and achieve their potential. Whether you have classroom experience or are looking to start your career in education, we provide full training and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with SEN in learning, behaviour, and personal development
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to pupil needs
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
- Passion for working with children and making a positive difference
- Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
- Previous experience with children is desirable, but not essential
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Education qualifications are beneficial, but not required
- A commitment to learning and professional development
