Location: Westcliff-on-Sea
Salary: £150–£220 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Westcliff-on-Sea from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students through performance, creativity and the performing arts. The successful candidate will encourage students to develop their confidence, communication skills and creativity in a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Role:
- Planning and delivering engaging Drama lessons
- Teaching students across a range of abilities
- Developing students’ confidence, creativity and performance skills
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Supporting students with both practical and theoretical aspects of Drama
- Contributing to the wider creative and extracurricular life of the school
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Drama or a related subject
- Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the performing arts
- Is confident managing classroom behaviour
- Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
