Behaviour Support Coordinator – Chafford Hundred
Location: Chafford Hundred
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Coordinator to join a welcoming school in Chafford Hundred from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to overcome behavioural challenges and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, teachers, pastoral teams and families to promote positive behaviour, engagement and personal development.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Developing positive relationships with students and staff
- Helping to implement effective behaviour support strategies
- Working alongside pastoral and safeguarding teams
- Supporting students to improve their engagement, confidence and behaviour
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs
- Is confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is resilient, patient and passionate about helping young people
- Can work effectively as part of a wider school team
Experience within a school, SEMH, youth work, care or similar setting would be beneficial, although candidates with transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
