Deputy Headteacher – Thurrock
Location: Thurrock
Salary: £65,000–£80,000 per annum
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking an inspirational and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join a welcoming and ambitious school in Thurrock from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for pupils and supporting the continued development of a successful school.
The Role:
- Supporting the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the school’s vision and improvement priorities
- Supporting the quality of teaching, learning and pupil outcomes
- Providing effective leadership across key areas of school improvement
- Supporting staff development and performance
- Promoting high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Working closely with staff, parents, governors and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has significant experience in school leadership
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils
- Is an inspirational and effective leader
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is committed to creating a positive, inclusive and ambitious school environment
