School Nurse – Southend-on-Sea
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time or part-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced School Nurse to join a welcoming school in Southend-on-Sea from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified healthcare professional to provide essential medical support to pupils and contribute to their overall health, wellbeing and ability to access education.
The Role:
- Providing first aid and medical support to pupils and staff when required
- Managing and supporting pupils with ongoing medical needs
- Maintaining accurate and confidential medical records
- Developing and reviewing individual healthcare plans
- Administering medication in line with school policies and procedures
- Supporting health and wellbeing initiatives within the school
- Working closely with parents, carers, staff and external healthcare professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
- Is a qualified Registered Nurse with relevant professional registration
- Has experience working with children or young people
- Has strong knowledge of first aid and healthcare procedures
- Is compassionate, calm and able to respond effectively in emergencies
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Can work professionally and maintain strict confidentiality
Previous experience working within a school, paediatric or community healthcare setting would be beneficial.
