Art Teacher – Upminster
Location: Upminster
Salary: £150–£220 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Upminster from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students through art and help them develop their creativity, technical skills and confidence.
The Role:
- Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons
- Teaching students across a range of abilities
- Developing students’ artistic knowledge and practical skills
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Encouraging creativity, experimentation and independent thinking
- Contributing to the wider creative and extracurricular life of the school
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Art or a related subject
- Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the creative arts
- Is confident managing classroom behaviour
- Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
