PE Teacher – Basildon
Location: Basildon
Salary: £150–£220 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time
We Educate Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Basildon from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate PE Teacher to inspire students through sport, physical activity and healthy competition while contributing to their wider personal development.
The Role:
- Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across a range of abilities
- Teaching practical and theoretical aspects of physical education
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Encouraging students to participate in sport and physical activity
- Supporting extracurricular clubs and school sporting activities
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting
- Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for sport
- Is confident managing classroom and practical lesson behaviour
- Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
