SEN Teaching Assistant – Shenfield

We Educate is currently recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in friendly and supportive mainstream primary schools across Shenfield.

If you enjoy helping children overcome challenges and reach their potential, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, providing the encouragement and guidance they need to flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support throughout the school day. You could be working one-to-one with an individual pupil, supporting small intervention groups or assisting the wider class to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

This is a varied and rewarding position where every day brings new experiences.

Pay: £92 – £115 per day

Your Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Help pupils stay engaged and motivated during lessons.
• Support teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Assist in creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to meet pupils’ individual needs.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

The following qualifications or experience are desirable:

• Teaching Assistant qualifications
• Health & Social Care
• Early Years (EYFS)
• Childcare
• Education, Psychology or related degrees

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential.
