We-Educate are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Basildon. This role is to cover maternity leave from January, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent in July for the right candidate.
The ideal teacher will have strong WTS (Working Towards Standards) experience and be comfortable delivering engaging and effective lessons to a Year 2 class.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching a Year 2 class, ensuring high-quality learning and progress
- Delivering well-structured lessons that support pupils working at WTS
- Planning, marking, and assessing in line with the national curriculum
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Working closely with the senior leadership team and year group partners
- Contributing to the wider school community and attending key meetings
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Confident teaching Year 2 and supporting pupils at WTS
- Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
- A motivated, reliable and committed practitioner
