SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 1 (Hornchurch)
Pay: £85–£100 per day

Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We-Educate are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class with a high level of SEND in a welcoming primary school in Hornchurch. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to helping young learners thrive, both academically and emotionally.
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing targeted support to pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Working closely with the Year 1 class teacher to create a supportive, structured learning environment
- Assisting with individual and small-group interventions
- Helping pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
- Supporting behaviour management and personalised learning strategies
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children with SEND (EYFS/KS1 experience desirable)
- A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping young learners overcome barriers and succeed
