SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD Resource Base (Thurrock)
Pay: £85–£100 per day
Start: ASAP
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We-Educate are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and nurturing ASD Resource Base in Thurrock. You will be working alongside a close-knit team of six experienced Teaching Assistants, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a specialised setting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting students with ASD in small groups and 1:1 settings
- Helping to create a calm, structured and engaging learning environment
- Working collaboratively with the SEN team and classroom teachers
- Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Providing tailored support to help each child thrive
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children with SEN (ASD desirable)
- A patient, resilient and caring approach
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Commitment to supporting young people with additional needs
