About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, supporting individuals, small groups, and whole-class learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class support to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Work with individuals and small groups to boost progress in literacy and numeracy
- Support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Assist in behaviour management and promoting positive learning environments
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and social development
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential)
- A passion for working with children and supporting their education
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, reliable, and eager to contribute to school life
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
