About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to join our partner primary schools in Romford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a difference in young pupils’ learning journey.
You will support teachers within the classroom, provide 1:1 or small group support, and help pupils to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist class teachers with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities
- Provide targeted support to pupils in EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Work 1:1 with children who need extra guidance in literacy, numeracy, or social development
- Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policy
- Help create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential)
- A genuine passion for working with children in education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teachers
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
