We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary School Teacher to join a thriving school in Basildon. The successful candidate must hold valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Role of a Secondary School Teacher:
A Secondary School Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, subject-specific lessons, ensuring pupils are challenged, motivated, and supported in their learning. You will plan lessons in line with the curriculum, assess student progress, and create a positive classroom environment that promotes achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies.
- Provide guidance and support to students’ academic and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Contribute to wider school activities and uphold school values.
Requirements:
- Valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong knowledge of your subject area and the secondary school curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people.
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and a positive approach to teaching and learning.
