About the Role
We Educate is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants in Hornchurch to support children across a range of primary schools and SEN schools in Havering. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a variety of settings, providing vital support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1, in small groups, or in class, helping pupils to engage with learning and build their confidence. Whether you are an experienced teaching assistant or looking to start your career in education, we can provide the training and guidance you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with SEN in their learning, behaviour, and personal development
- Work alongside class teachers to deliver tailored support in lessons
- Provide individual and small group interventions
- Encourage positive learning experiences and independence
- Help create an inclusive and supportive school environment
Candidate Requirements
- Passion for working with children and making a difference in education
- Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic personality
- Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Education qualifications are advantageous, but not required
- Commitment to professional development and willingness to learn
