About the Role
We Educate is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants in Havering to support children across a range of primary schools and SEN schools in the borough. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1, with small groups, or across classrooms to support pupils’ learning, confidence, and personal development. Whether you have prior experience or are starting your career in education, we provide full training and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with SEN in learning, behaviour, and personal development
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
- Passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their potential
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Previous experience with children desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Education qualifications beneficial but not required
- Willingness to learn and engage in professional development
