About the Role
We Educate is seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants in Dagenham to support children across a range of primary schools and SEN schools in the borough. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the education and development of pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide support on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or across classrooms. Your role is to help pupils engage with lessons, develop confidence, and build independence. Full training and ongoing support are provided, whether you are experienced or starting your career in education.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with SEN in learning, behaviour, and personal development
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
- Passion for working with children and supporting their learning
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Previous experience with children desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Education qualifications beneficial but not required
- Willingness to learn and engage in professional development
