About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Secondary English Teacher to join a supportive school in Thurrock. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential in English.
You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons, monitor pupil progress, and foster a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all pupils
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and support pupils’ wider learning and wellbeing
- Uphold school behaviour policies and safeguarding standards
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge in English
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Passion for inspiring young learners
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
