Role: Secondary Teaching Assistant (KS3 & KS4)

About the Role
We are seeking motivated and proactive Secondary Teaching Assistants to support students across secondary schools in Basildon. This role is ideal for individuals with strong subject knowledge who can support pupils in English, Maths, Science, or across the wider curriculum.
You will work alongside teachers to provide classroom support, deliver interventions, and help students achieve their potential in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions in core subjects
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement in learning
- Support pupils with SEN and additional needs where required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (secondary school experience desirable)
- Strong subject knowledge (particularly in English, Maths, or Science)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, patient, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
