About the Role
We Educate is seeking motivated SEN Teaching Assistants in Wickford to support children across a range of primary schools and SEN schools in Basildon. This role is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact the education and development of pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you may work 1:1, in small groups, or across classrooms. Your role is to help pupils engage in learning, build confidence, and develop independence. Full training and ongoing support are provided for both experienced and new teaching assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with SEN in learning, behaviour, and personal development
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
- Passion for working with children and supporting their learning
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Previous experience with children desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Education qualifications beneficial but not required
- Willingness to learn and engage in professional development
