About the Role
We Educate is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants in Stanford-le-Hope to support children across a range of primary schools and SEN schools in Thurrock. This role is a fantastic opportunity to help pupils with special educational needs (SEN) achieve their full potential.
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you may work 1:1, in small groups, or across classrooms to support pupils’ learning, confidence, and independence. Full training and ongoing support are provided for both experienced and new teaching assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with SEN in learning, behaviour, and personal development
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Candidate Requirements
- Passion for working with children and supporting their education
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Previous experience with children desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN, or Education qualifications beneficial but not required
- Willingness to learn and engage in professional development
