The Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5). The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Language and English Literature that inspire a love for reading and writing.
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential, employing a range of strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback, using data to inform and adapt teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.

About You

We are looking for an English Teacher who is:

  • Qualified: Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
  • Passionate: Enthusiastic about teaching and committed to nurturing a love for English in young people.
  • Experienced: (Desirable but not essential) Demonstrates a proven track record of raising attainment and engaging learners.
  • Collaborative: Values teamwork and is eager to contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Innovative: Skilled in using a range of teaching methods, including technology, to create dynamic and interactive lessons.
